My Craft
I engage in the creative process through photography, writing, blending digital and analogue techniques both in free work and commissioned pieces. My focus includes bringing artistic vision to life. Outside my photography, my passion for arts continues through restoration of design furniture and working as a conservator.
Why I Create
With a background in Art History and Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the Dutch University of Nijmegen and Amsterdam, my fascination and knowledge lies in exploring the material, history and preservation of art and design. This journey includes a Masters in Arts and Culture and a specialized training in carpentry deepening my respect for craftsmanship and storytelling.
Years spent observing and handling art, lurking in museums, art galleries and furniture workshops, I fueled my love for artistic creation and conservation - both in images and words. I’m inspired by historic techniques and stories, which undeniably, offer an endless and vast ocean of inspiration and insight for today’s artists and makers.
